Just got done scanning about 70 negatives of my Dad's from the early 50's. I believe these are M4A3E8 Sherman Tanks with the 78mm gun. He said these were either taken at Fort Benning, Ga. or Fort Bragg, NC. I scanned the negatives with a flatbed scanner, converted to a positive, and did an auto levels. I believe they are on 120 film.

The German Panzer was a better unit but the Shermans outnumbered them and won the war.

The Russian tanks also did the job. Handled the much lauded German Tiger tanks by crashing into them. The German tanks of WW2 were very good, but from what I understand their complexity, particularly the Tiger, harmed them , both in production and in battle.

Looks like Georgia pines to me. I vote for Fort Benning. Nice save there.

Got a camera, some cheap glass, one nice glass, a PC which doubles as my darkroom and a lot to learn - and having fun learning.
Taking a picture is like planting a memory, it grows more beautiful with time.
