Congratulations! I had that lens and loved it, but just sold it last week with my T1i. I miss it, but that's okay, the person that got it really loves it too! And YES, your husband is a keeper! Merry Christmas, take lots of pictures with your new lens!

LOL, Me too! But worth every darn penny. It is truly amazing. I remember when I first started "Messing Around" with photography about 2 years ago, I used to tell my self "there's no way that I would pay a thousand dollars for a lens. Now I have the 24-105 + the 70-200 f2.8 IS II. I wonder what's next. :D It's sort of like an ADDICTION! BUT A GOOD ONE.

Yup, UPS just dropped off my 70-200 2.8ISII about two hours ago. I know what you mean - two years ago, I had a hard time justifying $800 for a t2i kit with the two kit zooms!

I bought my wife the 5D3 kit with the 24-105. But my family is stinky. We can't open any gifts till Christmas morning so she doesn't know. And I don't know what I got, but I usually get B&H gift cards :)
