I was teaching a private lesson to another photographer yesterday and he brought his makeup artist as our "stand in" model.
I was teaching him various ways to shoot a one light evenly illuminated glamour headshot.
Damn! I love this makeup artist!

Dec 25, 2012 21:16 | #5 Very pretty and I like the lighting. Her pupils are large but it doesn't bother me at all. Can I assume that the room was fairly dark before the exposure? 1DX, ID MKIII, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L, 16-35 2.8L, 100 macro, 600EX-RTs, ST-E3-RT, Einsteins, Kacey Beauty Dish with a cracked grid, yada yada

Dec 25, 2012 21:37 | #6 Lovely shot but I agree, ambient light needed to be higher to get smaller pupils, show us those green irises. She is lovely. Sony a7R3a/a6300/ 16-70/4 / 70-200/4 G / 12-24/4 G/ 24-105/4 G /Sony HVL-60M

At first glance, I thought they looked like a doll's eye, didn't know why at first then noticed the pupils are completely dilated. Not much of a problem, can almost guarantee normal clients won't notice but those in media will definitely see it Gear List (5D3, 70-200 f2.8L IS II, Sigma 85mm f1.4, Sigma 35mm f1.4, 50 f1.8, 24-105L, Alien Bee lights, etc etc)
