hi all.
i am still pretty new to the photography thing and still new to the hardware of photography as well.

i was reading a small review of the 6D on the digital-picture.com
and they posted a comparison table which compared all sorts of physical and mathematical comparisons between the sensors of the various canon cameras. One of these comparisons was the DLA - diffraction limited aperture. I am still trying to wrap my head around this one. And I am particularly intersted in diffraction since I love to shoot macro and as the magnification increases, effective aperture increases thereby inviting more and more diffraction...

is the DLA a mathematical model solely (as mentioned in the text under the chart) or is there a practicality to it? i.e. for the same settings, would a 7D fare worse than a 6d, IIn, 5dIII in regards to diffraction? What determines the DLA? Is pixel size part of the equation? This is very unclear.

ah - sorry - the link: http://www.the-digital-picture.com …al-SLR-Camera-Review.aspx (external link)

i am looking at the first table. the example that is given in the link of comparisons associated with Diffraction is a comparison of the 50d vs the 50d at diffent apertures. Not my question.

Many thanks for helping this confused person.
