I watched an episode of Scam City by National Geographic Channel in the comfort of my hotel room in Taipei just a bit over a week ago. After traveling safe back home from Barcelona, Rome, Bangkok and Las Vegas (from their list) and many other places, I was thinking that I'm doing reasonable well during my many overseas trips.

Long story short, December 21st 2012 the World didn't end. But a small shock to me at that day, someone managed to steal my GPS Receiver GP-E2 from my 5D3 in a quiet street in Hong Kong. I couldn't even notice if anyone got close to me at all  HK almost like my own backyard as I have been there so many times. The GP-E2 is not easy to get it off from 5D3 for sure. (I did get a new unit in HK for HK$2000).

Anyway, you can watch those free episodes in YouTube:

Found them elsewhere - really interesting stuff! The host really gets deep into some situations to figure some scams out. Daring stuff.

If you didn't even notice anyone getting close to you, its entirely possible it could just have dropped off, you know ;)

Not that that is a good thing.

GP-E2 is far too secured and can't be dropped off from the 5D3 ;)
Anyway we had a great time in HK and the food is much nicer than Melbourne.
Now is the time to loss that 3 extra kg gained during this holiday

^Thanks :)
My wife and me are going to Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires this March, and we'll use 5D2 only in the city instead.

Back from Santiago de Chile and Buenos Aires last month; Santiago de Chile is far safer than most European cities; In Buenos Aires, anyone standing rather than walking in any the busy streets will try to sell us the counterfeit money! But Buenos Aires is NOT danger at all.

I'm fall in love with S. America; can't wait to go back again!
