My bag is busting at the seams and weighs in like a tank. I'd like to look at pouches to put a long range zoom in while I chase around the kids. Any good recommendations? Something nice and not so geeky ;)

So how do you big boy L owners tote around all that glass for a day of walking? Now with the tripod, monopod and a backpack full of canon joy I get serious looks from the authorities.

I am up to three bags now . . .
Four if you count the tripod/monopod bag for airline travel.
What I carry depends on the typr of shooting I am doing.
If I am going to walk around downtown, I don't carry the 100-400, and if I am going to the marsh/wildlife preserve, I leave the wide angles at home.
Sometimes I go out with just a camera body with a single lens, with an extra battery and some memory cards in my pocket. I actually find myself having the most fun when I force myself to see everything from the FOV of the lens I am carrying.

How do I tote my gear? Let me count the ways . . .
Domke F-1x holds most everything (D60, 20D, 15-30, 24-70, 70-200, 100-400, 35, 90, 420EX, 550EX, 580EX, couple of 12" Litediscs, spare cards, spare batteries, polarizers, ND grads & Cokin P holder, lens cleaning stuff, the odd TC, cable ties, and a bunch of other stuff)
Domke F2 holds most of the above, just not all the flashes and I have one camera out
Adorama Slinger - 1 body, 24-70, 75-300 IS, flash, 35, 50, or 90, batteries, cards & junk
Slinger Pro - 1body, 24-70, 70-200, 100-400, flash, batteries, cards, junk
Domke F-7AF - same as F-1X except I can have both the 70-200 and the 100-400 on bodies and vertical in the bag. It's deeper, but not appreciably bigger otherwise.
Couple of backpack combos of varying sizes, but I rarely use them - they're impossible to work out of unless you have a place to put everything down securely.
