I am always on the lookout for a deal, and found a 5DC for a $500 on CL. Looks clean, and seller claims very low shutter count. Hotshoe looks clean, as does the rest of the body.

My 7D and XSi keep me pretty pleased. I think it would be a great addition and I understand the Sigma 30mm is usable with some heavy vignetting, and the 10-22 can be modified to work on FF and used from 14mm and up IIRC. I figure the 85mm and 70-200 could be really nice on FF as well...

Would you pull the trigger?

Thanks!

The 5Dc is a great body, but you only really have two lenses that'll work with it and one of them (the 85 1.8) is so-so wide open...(and that's the whole point of owning a lens like that).

What's the serial number on it? The earlier ones had a sensor that was too sensitive to wet cleans and LCD issues...also, they *ALL* needed the mirror fix...

I can also vouch for the 5Dc. It still produces wonderful files.
$500 seems like about what they're going for now. I don't know that I'd call that a "deal" - it's more like the "going rate". Still well worth it, though.

"Your" and "you're" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"They're", "their", and "there" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one.
"Fare" and "fair" are different words with completely different meanings - please use the correct one. The proper expression is "moot point", NOT "mute point".

Seller says no repairs made. I have to assume no mirror fix. Dealbreaker?

Per seller 7k clicks and original owner...

I bought my 5d classic last year for $900 and then it was by far the best way I've spent on my photography business and hobby alike. For $500 regardless, you can NOT go wrong. To me, this camera is the best Canon has made. I'm talking image wise, not to technology. Put a prime on it and sit back in amazement. DO IT

For $500 I would grab it without a second thought with or without the mirror fix. I am a prime lens person and will 2nd that the 85 f/1.8 is so much better on a FF vs a 1.6x body.

My sister, the professional baker and cake decorator once told me that my camera takes great pics. My reply was that I thought her oven baked great cakes.
