K, gang... please for those who have any hands on dealings or hearings of how the G15 matches up to the new SX50 HS please let know. I have read all the dpreview stuff and other areas. Shot a SX50 today mixed emotions on it could be because all I've ever shot was DSLR, no G15 in a store nearby would have to B&H it so am looking for input. Thanks....Jenn

New to the forum and a new G15 owner, and new to taking phots as well. Previous camera was a basic point/shoot with no real adjustments.

Looking for some advice on taking indoor shots of my kids playing basketball. This is the first camera I have used that you can adjust (pretty overwhelming for a newbie). I've read through the manual, and I have so much to learn, but was hoping a vetran G15 user can tell me what settings would be good to start with while taking action shots. The gym is lighted with flourencent lights, fairly well lit, and obviously the subject (my kids) will be running/shooting.

Last week I just used the auto green setting and most of the pictures were blury.

Thanks for the help and look forward to learning more here (btw, the photos in the G series thread are absolutely beautiful) Hoping I'll improve my knowledge/skill by reading here.
