I've not had an opportunity to get out much over the paste couple on months but here are a couple of image from last month.
1. Male
2. While the male is the more colourful the female has a beauty in her own right.

WallaceRiver " ...a bit of a pervy voyeur " More info | Love the puffed up male, Stephen, and agree, the females are lookers too. I wish we had more of these guys around here. Not only do I miss their colour, I miss hearing their treetop songs in the spring season. IAN - Living life on the shores of the Wallace River in northern Nova Scotia, Canada :

Grizz1 Goldmember More info | Dec 27, 2012 20:15 | #9 These both are very nice, beautiful birds, well done! The Cardinals are very numerous here, as many as 25 will come to my feeder at once but only early and late, so far not enough light to get good shots so I'm envious. Steve

These were photographed at a lical wildlfe garden but I've had only up to 3 pairs at a time that drop by 3-4 times per day at my home so I usually have opportunities for some daylight shots. Stephen
