CS2 redeye tool making brown eyes blue

Okay, I know there's a country song about this...
When I first tried the redeye tool in CS2, it worked brilliantly. Simply amazing stuff. Now all of a sudden, it's starting to create a grey/blue haze, not necessarily centred over the pupil. I'm wondering if I've inadvertently changed a setting along the way I shouldn't have. Any clues?

You must have the Crystal Gayle filter active . . .

NP. At least it bumps the thread. Have you ever seen that sort of thing happen before?
