My first time doing ballet. It was very challenging but I learned a lot. Any comments are welcome. Thanks

Looks to me like you did a great job for your first time. With ballet, timing is everything. I've found I get the best results when I trip the shutter a split second before the peak action. If I wait until I actually see it in the viewfinder, it's too late.

I like #2, it catches the interesting moment of preformence. Nice colors and light.

The photos are not bad, but the positions are not that great. The second one has great action, but lead dancer and corps should be uniform in positions. It means that all feet should be pointed not just some, all arms should be at same height, and all heads should be tilted same way. The only exception is if lead dancer is the one whose position is different, but if dancing in an ensemble ... I'm mentioning this because it reflects on the picture.

Otherwise, I think you did a good job!

That would be nice, but these are probably not professional dancers and the precision of their movements isn't something the photographer is able to control.

Thanks to everyone for the kind and encouraging comments. Before I did this ballet shoot I searched all applicable forum threads and came away with a lot of useful information about shooting dance and ballet.

The POTN community is such a fantastic resource for amateurs like me.
