Wishing everyone a happy holiday and peace for the new year. Spent the Holidays at the Issak Walton Hotel on the south side of Glacier National Park. It is an old RR hotel built when the Great Northern RR was building the line around Glacier. 90% full moon that evening. Haunting yet beautiful.

Something about #1 I really like, the dark feel of it over all and the warm inviting Chritmas lights over the front door in the middle of no where on a cold winters night . I have not been up to Essex in a long while. sounds like something fun to do this weekend maybe, run up too the pass and check things out ;)

I'll be in Montana this June. Been a while since my last visit ('88-89) to hunt elk.

Thanks for the replies. Old for us because it was built in 1939 by the Great Northern RR. As for temperature it was 10 F which is -12 C. Not too bad to be out in but I carry an insulated camera bag when I go back indoors.
