This Starblitz 3000BA was bought sometime in the 90's for my film camera.
Is it safe to use this on my 60D?

The 3000BA is not really listed in this link info.
I'm thinking maybe better to safe than sorry.

Here is a link that claims it is less then 40v. Believe at your own risk. It is pretty useless with a modern camera though. The only power setting when in manual is full power.

Buy one of the inexpensive Yongnuo flashes and have something that works and you know will not damage your camera.

^ Pipped at the post :D

I intended to say (before the unexpexted visitors arrived) that there was little point in putting the flash to use on-camera as the TTL version vastly precedes modern requirements and you'd have to use it in Manual or create problems for yourself. As Duncan says, get a cheap Yongnuo - at the very least you'll get comparable facilities in total safety and if you choose wisely you'll get far more for very little money.

Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!
