It can usually be bought from vendors like B&H for the low $200. That Sigma 18-50 is not really any better than your kit. I personaly would probably buy a single lens of quality, rather than that particular kit. There are many options, so won't go into them. 7D, 10D, Canon EFS 18-55mm modded
