Around here, there seems to be a common phrase that it's the photographer who takes the pictures, not the camera. In that spirit, I wanted to see what kinds of pictures people have taken with cameras that are hardly considered professional. This would include your camera phone, some too simple P&S, etc. I'll throw in a few of mine. I apologize if there is a thread like this already.

This is the St. Louis arch from 2007. As we were walking away from it, I looked up and thought this would be an interesting angle, so I snapped a picture. It turned out much better than I hoped. This remains one of my favorite pictures over 5 years later. I took this with my now broken HP Photosmart e427.

This was taken with the same camera. I lucked out with the light on this one as it allowed the shutter to be fairly quick and get this one without too much blur.

i took this about 5/6 years ago on my mothers old compact fujifilm finepix, series of 200-odd shots throgh a couple of hours in the bath tub. Auto-everything and heavily revived in photoshop. I know its got blown highlights and awful fake DOF but to see this when I had only been taking photos for a few weeks at the time, kinda gave me a reason to learn and grow. I hope you like it. Ps, sorry I cant post a link to make the image show on here as I use this forum on my mobile as I have no internet.

I want to second shoot a wedding so I know the score before I do my own.

Noticed this awesome fog hanging over a piece of land (300 acres i think) for sale when I was driving somewhere. Quickly pulled over (got a few beeps and a finger, whoops), and snapped a photo through my passengers side seating in my drivers seat. Just used my iphone 4.

To get the image inlayed in the text like everyone else, get the link to the image itself. You may have to right click on the image, and then select "copy image location." This automatically copies the path to the clipboard. Then, paste it here, and be sure to wrap it in [IMG] tags like this:

 [IMG]image001.jpg[/IMG]

Flores, that's a great picture of the wall.

leeleeRT, fog always makes for a good effect. There's a pond on my way to work that seems to always have a fog hanging over it in the morning during the summer. I need to leave early one morning and get a picture of it.

iPhone 4 Hipstamatic
I actually have printed 8x10's from it and they look amazing so not sure it can be classified as a terrible camera.
Three kids are my most common subject, my sons. The woman is one of my clients who I produce and edit a PBS TV series for. She was goofing around with my second shooters glasses.

Shot '08 with a Casio Point and Shoot.
Not a damn thing is sharp or in focus, but that's not the point. I felt it captured the moment.
