So I attempted (and failed) to shoot some refractions over the summer. I'm going through some old pics and came across them again and am wondering if you guys can help. What am I doing wrong that they are not coming out right? I was using a tripod, I was placing the water on the leaves with a dropper bottle. Any tips would be great, this is something I really want to work on

Nice shot, for what it is, even though not the desired outcome you were after :)

Honestly, looks like you were close in getting what you were after, but maybe didn't have the background flower in the proper distance away?

Take a look at the following examples of help for this subject:

Nice shot- to get the flower in focus in the drop you really need to focus stack. See http://www.flickr.com …iscuss/72157594313729574/ (external link)
