From the looks of things, it doesn't seem to matter too much. Don't be too pessimistic about the capabilities of the 60D based on the last batch of examples posted here. I'm sure it'll meet your needs just fine. For Sale: 1D, T1i, 800mm, 600mm

Dec 30, 2012 14:38 | #18 My 60D did everything my 7D did. Center point or outer point all the same. 7d just adds a few more tous points. I got tons of keepers with both. Here is my 60d example.

I still don't understand the noise thing, people say the 50d is horrible, I shoot upto 3200"and am happy, and I believe the 7d does a better job? I am going to pick one up in January and will find out, I figure for $1100 for a new 7d is worth a try. I just can't justify over $3000 for a body unless you are making money on them, but everyone spend the $$ differently. I go to aruba twice a year, so go figure. I agree. I am fortunate to freelance for the local paper down here in Arkansas that helps pay for my equipment. Plus I got no interest financing for 3 years. So I am making enough money to cover my equipment. Helps support my expensive hobby. If you decide to go with the 7D, and are shooting above 1600, make sure you slightly overexpose the shot.

There are many articles written about the 7D and ETTR (expose to the right). Once I started doing this, I liked the images coming out of my 7D when shooting at high ISO. It only works if you shoot RAW as I do always.
