I would greatly appreciate any feedback / comments on the photos I've in this album. All are taken w/ Canon 50D + 100 macro IS handheld, using natural lighting in the field. Thanks!

It looks more like a close up. What are you using to shoot these with? For macro shots, the point is often isolating the subject by blurring out the rest of the elements in the scene. I don't really see that happening here, except maybe #1. And the focus looks like it is on the mushroom stem, instead of the mushroom cap, which extends the focus across the ground a bit. I would just try getting closer the next time you go to shoot them. And certainly use a tripod, focusing some of the macro lenses can be tough and works better manually. Yes, I do need to have tripod (and flash) when shooting such types of shots… these were just spur-of-moment when visiting family, using 100 IS on a 50D. Do need to work also on the focus. Again, appreciate the feedback. 50D | 70-200 f4 L IS | 100 f2.8 L IS | Tokina 11-16 AT-X Pro | 17-55 | B&W 67mm CPL
