I am doing a seven deadly sins series - with famous stories and fables as the inspiration. This is Christal - her sin was sloth, inspired by Rip Van Winkle. She was the 4th of the sins - we have 5 down, two to go.....

Last one isn't on flickr yet, so excuse the quality since its linked from facebook. CC welcome. All photos shot with Canon 5d MkII and 70-200mm 2.8 - all natural light with some silver reflectors, handheld by assistants. Both water photos I shot from in the river, about to my waist. This was late September, 2012.

Feel free to let me know if my images are too big for the forum.

Happy shooting,
Leeann

Beautiful work, and concept. Love her makeup/hair. Gorgeous model. Her facial expressions fit the subject matter well.

Thank you! We really lucked out with the location as well. This is all in one tiny area at Watson Park on the Souheagan River in Merrimack, NH.

Here's a few from the first set of the series. This is Jes, her sin was Greed, inspired by the story of Rumplestiltskin. I was lucky enough to find that 100 year old spindle for $75 from a local antique dealer. And kudos to the model. This was February 2012, in the attic of a barn with no heat.

Super creative, and I admire you for tackling such a project. Must take alot of work in many respects. Both models appear to be pros...stunning!

A lot of work is right! We starting casting for these in June of 2011, shot the first June 2012. We were lucky to have hair and makeup, videography, a stylist, a studio assistant, and the models that signed on, commit. We did end up replacing two of the models. Might as well share the other 3 we've done so far.

Envy - Cinderella (we used cinderella after the fairy tale - price charming leaves her at the altar and she smashes the glass slipper. special fx girl when a little crazy on the glass cuts)

I'm definitely happier with some more than others. Locations were the toughest part - and some, like the cottage for Gluttony an hour and a half from me, I never saw until the day of the shoot. Its definitely been a huge learning experience. We still have two sins left... we'll like book them this Spring. I needed a break! Thanks for everyones comments! They are fun to share and hear feedback (good and bad) from you guys. I've feel like I've been working on them forever. I'll be excited when the series is completed.

Thanks for the background story...I do remember seeing some of your previous postings about the series. I would love to be a bystander to watch a shoot like this as it's done.
