wireless meter trigger for AB?

Is there any alternative to triggering my ABs besides getting a second cybersync transmitter and somehow attaching it to my L-358 meter? I'm getting tired of taking it off my hot shoe whenever I reposition my lights and have to meter again.

I have a spare transmitter that I carry with me while doing lighting setup. I simply set up the L-358 to wait for a flash and then I push the "test" button on my transmitter. I'm using Elinchrom EL-Skyport Universal transmitters and receivers.

Same here. Except for using cybersyncs.

Possible, but I don't see Paul taking the time or having an interest in doing that.
He is more likely to refer any inquiries to the Cyber Commander as a light meter.

I have a L-358 and PCB strobes with cybersyncs also.

When you are in "Auto-reset Cordless Flash mode" on the L-358, and you press the measuring button, the mode mark will blink and the meter is ready to take a measurement. That "ready to measure" mode will continue for approximately 90 seconds.

During this time, fire the flash and make a measurement. I have my camera in one hand, and the 358 in the other. I place the light meter where I want it, and press the button on my camera, causing my strobes to flash. I am basically using the cybersync receiver on my camera as the module to fire the strobes. I dont remove the cybersync from the hot shoe each time, why do that? Just leave it on your camera and fire it that way. Sure, you'll get a shot thats pointed to the floor, but who cares, you're going to discard that shot anyway.

If you're using a tripod, I have a quick disconnect release on mine, I just compose, flip the disconnect, take the camera off the tripod, light meter in one hand, camera in the other, fire the strobes, take a measurement, set the f-stop accordingly, camera back on the tripod, and shoot.

If the 90 second period is exceeded and the blinking mark on the L-358 stops, just press the Measuring button on the light meter again to return to "ready to measure". You're good to go again. No need for another cybersync receiver.

After getting tired of taking the CST off the hotshoe to meter, I too bought a second CST for this reason.

Even if you don't want to take advantage of the CC metering mode. Its a handy way to adjust the lights.
And it has a fire button .
