Late December of each year is time for an unique festival of indoor motorsports on the concrete floor of the Allen County Ind., Expo Center, where a 1/6-mile oval is set up. At the end of two days of racing for midgets, winged midgets, quarter midgets and karts, this Fort Wayne indoor oval is covered with sticky rubber from hundreds of racers.

The only photo in that set that looks sharp is #2. What did you shoot these with?

Are you serious? I'd far rather see this type of shot than someone shooting at 1/1000 or with a flash and giving the parked car look.

Some of them are shot at 1/30, 1/40 and 1/80. He's obviously shooting to ensure a feeling of speed. I would suspect that he's very close to the action as well, making panning that much more difficult. All in all, I'd say they look good and I respect the effort.

Equipment: Canon 7D & 50D, Canon 70-200 F2.8, Sigma 120-400, Tamron 17-50 F2.8, Canon 50mm 1.8, 430EX II
