I have one of those also which lives in my pants pocket. I just haven't got round to taking a product picture yet. It works pretty well and will do service with an SLR in emergency.

Here's another mini-tripod. Anything but a ghastly, idiotic Gorillapod.

Considering that I've done long exposure light painting and nighttime HDR with my Gorillapod with a gripped 5d2 and never had the issue you complain so vehemently about; I'm left feeling that maybe your issues were at the least partially user error.

I have getting on for 20 sundry tripods and alternative camera supports which work perfectly well. The Gorillapod, I unequivocally condemn.
