Brandon, a Navy SEAL, arrived on a military transport from VA to see his longtime girlfriend Kelsey and surprise her with a lifelong proposal.

I've never met the two so I had to identify them from afar using iphone shots Brandon sent me. Luckily, his transport was a late arrival so the heavily populated beach started to dissipate making it easier to locate them as they approached.

The downside of it being late was the sun had already set 15 minutes earlier so I had to keep the ISO bumped. They enjoyed the set I showed them but here are just a few from the mini session. C&C welcome.

8. This is pretty much how dark it was during his proposal. I couldn't use the flash before for obvious reasons.

Lovely set! I'm sure they will treasure it for ever.

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Great shots. I like them.
Have you try them all in B&W?

That sounds fun. You probably didn't expect to be contacted by a SEAL because he needed help with a clandestine mission :) Nice shoot.

Thanks.
Funny thing was I started shooting another couple that looked like it could've been them but the clothing he said he was going to wear didn't match that couple.
So, I stopped shooting and planned on letting him know that if it was them, it would've been his fault because he's gotta know how important viable intel has to be lol.

Good job. Love the vintage feeling on the beach too. The time of day and setting fits it, otherwise, I don't care for it much.
