Posted that in 'Poeple' but thought I would show it here too. This one was taken really quickly with not much time for tweaking. I liked the shot and tried to match it to what I wanted it to look originally. About 1h in CS5

Nice edit, nice colours and depth. Good effort with the clone tool too.

Just curious, what's that green mark in the top left of the original?

Thanks guys,
I can see the green mark. When preparing to export for web I must have clicked on it with green brush. This is one image edit. No tripods.

Haha, pretty funny :D

Did you just mirror clone the right of the image to get rid of the people in the top left?

Yep, I did to some extent.Great deal of it involved a lot of free transformation and cloning + blending modes on the reveals to get rid of the hard shadows.

That is a great edit--I didn't think I'd like the final image, but totally do. It's amazing what toning + burning can do for an image (not to mention removing people + lighting gear !).

indeed, what a wonderful job here. Damn, just when I was getting semi good with Lightroom, I still need to learn photoshop.

Awesome post work. It goes to show that having a good starting point (flash & exposure) can allow post processing to be utilized for the good, and not for fixing crap.
