This bird was photographed yesterday morning in good light while it flew over the Ottawa River about 20 Kilometres away from where yesterday's image was taken. This is a cropped as the bird was quite far away.

Bald Eagles have started nesting in Ottawa again after being rather scarce for many years. This was the 3rd eagle that I saw over the weekend. I saw an adult and another juvenile in tree near a white-tail deer road kill but never got any photos.

Interesting. With the color change on the head leaving a mask of sorts, he almost looks like a really big osprey. Nice shot.
