Same her, not TiVo though, just a DVR. But we never watch what live TV unless it's there as background. Advertisers probably hate me but I refuse to watch commercials. The DVR lets you jump right over them.

Not sure why, but call me JJ.

Got to love the DVR, right JJ?

I skip through all the ads too. My SIL in PA, their DVR won't let you skip through the ads. Wonder why that would be?

I have noticed that some of the OnDemand content is like that but I have never run across a program that would not let me FF the DVR.

I also have the DVR, for some reason I always call it the tivo...? Shamless was awesome, the only thing we watch in real-time is sports, and often we will pause it at the beginning and then start watching 15-20 minutes in so we can skip the ads.

I do that all the time. :) I've talked my wife into it as well. There are a few programs she likes to watch (some show with Heidi Klum and biggest looser come to mind) By DVRing the show and watching in 15 minutes, by the time you get to the end you have caught up and been able to skip the commercials.

Chet - I have, somewhere, photos inside a brand spanking new stator, but nothing anywhere near the size of what you are on about in your PM

I need to get a DVR.

NCIS, NCIS:LA, Criminal Minds, Vegas, Hart of Dixie, Hell's Kitchen, Murdoch Mysteries, and lots of renovations shows. There's several that I like to watch but don't necessarily follow.

You need to add Body of Proof to the list.

We are left wondering why they were removing the stator in the 1st place. Stators are usually rebuilt in place. If the were replacing it, not sure why they wouldn't had just taken it apart. 500 tons is a very heavy lift.

Morning all, been a while as I've been busy in my neck of the woods. Hope you are all well and have had a good Easter.

I've got an extra day off. Today Aaron heads to Brazil and Argentina for two weeks with his school volleyball tour. So we are off to the airport later today. The local sporting goods manufacturer that was contracted to supply the gear stuffed up and wouldn't of had the order on time. They substituted from other stock similar to what the boys we supposed to get, but they will get the original order when it arrives also - a nice win.

Solved my French/Paris themed costume party dilemma. I'm going as the Phantom of the Opera. I think Tracey is going to go as Madame Thenardier (le Mis). Looking forward to it. I might even do some fake scars etc under the mask also.

Nice. Hope Aaron enjoys South America!

What is this French themed party you talk of?

Sounds good to be the phantom, as long as they don't expect you to sing...
