You instrument rated to fly?

Nope...

I've had a couple of intro to instrument flying lessons and have flown a few mock instrument approaches though.

Yeah, you see a lot of companies doing this now. Either with grills, lines, whatever... Ford's done a great job with their redesigns (though I'd still never buy one of their cars :p).

I'm kinda partial to Dodge's styling, but that may be because I own one... I'm disappointed they discontinued the Dakota and the Nitro.

I never understood Subaru's desire for a 'sports' car.

Subaru and sports should never be in the same sentence unless "make a piece of sh*t of a " is stuck between them. ;):)

I was going to start taking lessons. But you're saying it was $8k just to get through the 40 hours of instruction to get licensed? OUCH!

40 Hours is the minimum but the national average is closer to 60-65 hours.

I could have probably done it for around $2.5K less, but the ground school materials were produced using the Cessna 172SP and the older flight school planes were not as well equipped and/or laid out differently. Made it harder to translate ground school material to practical application.

The pace of my training actually improved when I started flying a 172SP so it was probably a bit of a push in terms of higher per hour cost Vs total number of hours. I passed my checkride at 52 hours which is exactly where the Cessna training materials suggest you should be when you're done.

Dodge styling cues are very "American" with the high sides and small windows. There is an old saying over here in Australia, dodge a Dodge, Ford is Fix Or Repair Daily, or Found On Rubbish Dump haha. Never have truer sayings been penned. Give me a good old GM branded car anyday.

The only Dodge car I like is the Charger. Even though it's supposed to be their performance car, I don't like the looks of the Challenger. I do like the Ram trucks though.

The only sports Subaru is good at is rally racing. And they aren't even in that any more.

I would actually buy a Subaru if I had the need/could afford a second vehicle. I'd pick up an STi cheap and fix it up. Having worked at a Subaru dealership I know what their weakness' are and what strengths can be found. The AWD is something I could have fun with.
