Sounds like flu as well though. In either case, hang in there. It will pass.

Would you believe I shot that with the 100-400, not a macro lens?

Impressive! That's the next lens on my list, I think. Or possibly a wide angle for a FF (wider than 35).

The 100-400 though not a macro does nicely with bigger bugs. THis weekends flutteyby was taken with the 100-400.

Yep, food poisoning Mel. Classic case by the sounds of it. Just stay hydrated, you can end up in hospital if you don't. The best thing is to go to the chemist and buy something like Hydrolite, it comes in different flavours (not that you'd want a flavour) and puts back the electrolytes and stuff you puke and crap out. If it stays around go see the doctor, bad cases can be very bad.

I have lots of Gatorade around here. So far the cranberry juice is sitting well.

Gatorade (or Lucosade depending on what you get in Canada).

drink plenty of that. Or failing to buy that, water + sugar + lemon juice will make up a much simpler version of the same thing that your body needs.

rice will help settle the stomach when you are able to keep solids down

Interesting.

I wonder if they used a common dollar value or if it was completely regional. The Canadian family was from Iqaluit, food prices there are much higher than they are here.

My weekly grocery purchases is nothing like the one shown for Americans. They must have found the most unhealthiest family in the country. I don't know anyone who eats that much junk food.

Wow, $78 to feed that family for a week. I oculdn't feed Chris and I on that much money, let alone a huge family! I see the Autralian dollar has fallen to 96 US cents today, that is bad. If it keeps falling it'll put the price of our holiday next year up by a considerable amount.

I don't think they've ever heard of fresh vegetables. I'm surprised they aren't all 400 lbs for how much junk food they have there.

You'd be VERY surprised. My SIL's family eat like ****. No fresh fruit, no fresh veg. We hate going there. That and at the outlaws too.

We always have fresh fruit & veg.

Blame the Indian culture in me.

My boys ate a lot but not so much junk food. We always have a lot of veggies and fruits around and sausage is about as processed as we get. Maybe those frozen chicken breasts but those arn't all that processed.
