Just checking in to see if I still remember anyone around here. lol Or if anyone remembers me ;) Lots of names I don't recognize. *waves* I figured I should come back and post before Julian passes me in pc.

Harm, little Alex has grown so much since last I was here. What a doll.

Jay, I love that shot.

Lisa!!! Welcome back!

You forgot this one, Jon. I hope it works. I've forgotten how to put up gifs.

Lovely! Lotsa memories there. First Lisa checks in and then some good fish slapping. Wonderful!

Jay, wouldn't you just love to photograph this?

Jay and I shot something similar in 2011 at the kick-off for the Centennial of Naval Aviation at North Island. The Navy flew every representative example of US Naval aircraft they could get their hands on, covering almost 100 years of flight.

what do you guys know about the 6D? Is it just another camera in the line up? Is it a 5D competitor? I'd never heard of it until yesterday and then never realized it was full frame until about 5 min ago.

According to the two people I know who shoot one, it offers the best IQ in the entire Canon lineup.

You give up a lot of bells and whistles, but as the 5Dc was once a simple tool for great images, such is the 6D now.

I wish I had more time to play with one but I've only been able to play a bit at Best Buy. From what i can tell, it feels like a solid camera and from the images I've seen posted, it looks more than capable.

I'm hoping to score a 6D as it seems a perfect fit. The images look stunning, it's no 5Diii in the af department, but neither is the 5d really.

LOL!! Hello Omar. If it helps, it feels like I'm visiting old haunts.

I was just looking around. At some point in the next 6 months or so, I'm thinking of getting some camera gear again. So it's time to actually refresh myself on what's out there.

It is nice to see some familiar faces around here. Some of your even have the same avi's. LOL!

Almost like going back in time! Great scott!

Good to see you are back! How has life been? :)

Great camera with some fantastic IQ. You give up the Auto Focus system of the 5dmkIII for an upgraded 5dmkII center point system (sensitive to -3 EV on the center no other canon camera has that) plus it has wi-fi and GPS built in as well.

And here.. and hot, though not as hot as you are. Looks as if we are officially going to have our first 100+ day. Yesterday it hot 100.2 at my house but I'm not official. :)
