I have a short memory. Which 35?

the new sigma 35 1.4 Art (?) lens (I'm not sure what the "art" lens means but it's incredibly sharp wide open, which is a huge surprise and the bokeh lovely...not so surprising...).

I was hoping that's what you got. Sharpest lens I have, and I love the build and feel of it. Good for you!

I was really surprised how sturdy it feels compared to the 50 (I used to have that) and how much sharper wide open. I can't wait to really put it through it's paces. And the minimum focus distance is so nice for a prime. I'm thrilled. lol

You know that cute retriever I posted pics of earlier? The wife and I cooked enough dinner for two families, since one of her friends just had an operation. While we delivered theirs, ours was on the kitchen counter in a baking pan.

We came home to find two of the three chicken breasts with stuffing, gone. The pan was still on the counter, not a crumb on the floor.

And we had already fed him. Can't blame him; he's a dog; that's what they do (when they can). He's been a counter surfer since the day he could just get his snout over the edge, and nabbed half a pizza while the wife and I watched TV.

Oh, we'll. At least he left us one breast to split and a little stuffing. Good puppy.

Our male dog did that with 2lbs of raw bacon. He was only 6months old at the time and I had no idea he could get up that high. I went to the garage for 2 min and came back to no bacon. lol

lol, I have two cats that will eat anything and everything off te counters or while we are trying to have dinner. It is terrible!

My cats are way worse than my dogs at stealing food. The dogs learned that it was prohibited. The cats don't care that it is.

I didn't know how to respond. I saw it when it was posted and laughed.

It's likely the nearest ground fire units are some distance away and this prevents the fire from spreading the the forest.

Did you see this one of tankers loading up at a lake?

I had forgotten that there was forest fires here last summer. This is just 4 hours away from me, in cottage country. Tons of these tiny little lakes around, a lot of them are quite narrow, and all are surrounded by trees and cliffs.

Put my Probe exhaust on from cat back today. Only took an hour to snap off old bolts and hang the new stuff. Good stuff.

Pardon me, since I haven't caught up but Harm!!! OHMYGOSH!! Thank you for your recommendation on this 35...it's what you would call a holy $^*& lens. lol

more later after I catch up 500 pages. lol :lol:

You're welcome - it is the next lens in my wish list.

But with a whole kitchen revamp, there is no money to spare :(

I was going to say how lovely a shot it is. Must be spectacular if I'm seeing the crappy rendition.

and that is it! Congrats Permi! Have had mine since before thanksgiving and what a winner! Has some serious micro-contrast to it. Similar to Zeiss.
