Gun instructors... pfffft.

When I purchase my throw-aways from a homie in el barrio, I get a 30-second "instrucciones." I can't understand a word, but all you need is the visual anyway. Never been shot (accidentally) yet.

Well, he was just trying to show the student how NOT to handle a gun.

A couple days ago we had an different "accidental" shooting. Some idiot had a loaded rifle in the window rack in his pickup, with a round in the chamber and the safety off. He dropped the rifle as he was pulling it out of and it fired a round into his friend. Fortunately the "former friend" will survive.

So someone shot you on purpose? Do tell!

If you do a quick search of the net, you can find several instances of guys being shot by dogs.

TX... died
France... hand amputated
FL... Thigh
UT... Butt

There are probably more; I found these in about two minutes.

Man's best friend, my ass.

Years ago I was at the range with a CHP officer who was teaching a community college police firearms course. He was demonstrating how to properly hold the weapon and squeeze the trigger. He had picked up a student's weapon at random and didn't check to see if it was loaded. When he pulled the trigger the weapon discharged, but luckily he was pointing the weapon in a safe direction and no one was hurt.

As my wood shop instructor said "There are three things you need to remember with this saw. . . " (holding up thumb, index and little fingers).

So a good alternative would be for him to reach in his pocket and pull out a thumb and a couple fingers?

Day 3 of 6 is done!

I'm only scheduled to work 52.5 hours this week. I can't leave early as I am closing every day this week. And it's been an incredibly slow week so far. My bay is really, really clean right now... to the point that I cleaned all 9 windows in my door, inside and out.

I am a rather skilled person.

I spent two years working for a janitorial/carpet cleaning/air duct cleaning company. And I've worked as an automotive detailer. I know how to clean windows. (unlike the oil change kid who used floor cleaner and a floor squeegee to clean windows)
