I have the CVT transmission in my Nissan Rogue and am not a fan. As a matter of fact I had mine REPLACED under warranty at 36k due to this high pitched whine which is back again at 54k miles. drive train is warrantied to 125k and I have no doubt I'll have a second transmission before it is all said and done. Other than that, I love my Rogue.

Your vehicles have had a rough life. I'll make sure to stay out of them.

Yeah, they are hard to keep in good shape. Bearings go in them. The one that Ford uses (made by Volvo) is very expensive to repair. The drive chain is $1800.

Dad used to have a 1978 GMC Sierra that my grandfather had bought as a farm truck. I have some nice memories of that truck.
When I was really young I was with Grandpa and we drove from the home farm over to the 100 acre farm where Dad was combining. When we got to the field Grandpa turned off the driveway to go into the field. He said "Hold onto something, there's a bump here." There was nothing to hold onto and I was just sitting there with no seatbelt on, but I was fine.
Doesn't seem like much, but it's the only time I ever remember being alone with Grandpa. He wasn't much interested in kids. He did have lots of fun sneaking up behind us and scaring us though. He died when I was 7.

When I was 15 we took the truck off the road and I turned it into a trailer. Dad had built a custom box for it years before when the original box rusted through. I never legally drove that truck, but I always loved it and it's why I bought a truck.

I always thought that CVT's were less expensive to make???

They might be cheaper to make, but repairing them is killer.

I've had my Honda Pilot for over 5 years now, and no problems at all. It pulls our trailer nicely too.

But you have to hang on to the "oh poop" handle cause the driver is scarey!!!

It's 63F and I'm sweating.

The dense fog seems to have something to do with it.

we started off the day at 44°F, and the temperature will get up to 80°F

a nice swing that you need a jacket in the morning, to shorts/t-shirt by the afternoon!

We started at 80 and going to 90. Already took a dip in the pool after my morning walk. Now off to work.

Family, that's about it. But other than that, I love summer and it's still solidly summer here. No longer in the 100s, but comfortable lower 90s in the evening with low humidity.
