Maybe I should start a virus demanding payment or your personal files will be sent to all in your contacts :)

Wonder how much I'd make?

Haha heaps Harm. It says that my personality and address is currently being investigated, that's easy, I'm a pr*ck and I certainly don't live in Melbourne like it says on the demand hahaha. The spelling on the demand letter is terrible. That is all I can do with the computer, read their demand. I can just imagine putting my credit card details in, it would clean me out! Our I.T. people are in a flap because it got thorugh the screening process to a PC on the network.

So you'll be buying a 4000mm lens, Jay? :D

Yep. It's his new line - doing office portraits of pilots . . .

OK, computer all fixed. Three different DLL files hidden in my program files. Find one and delete and it still does not work because it kicks in the next one, then the next. Luckily our IT guy is smarter than the hacker was :) Depending on how many suckers pay up though I bet the hacker is richer than our IT guy.

Yep, I wonder how many pay up Harm. The cost to pay up was less than the fee to call in an IT guru, so I guess many put it down to simple math, the cheaper option is the better. It would not worry me how much it costs, even if I had to replace a hard drive, I would not pay the mongrel bludgers.

They absolutely have a 6th sense. My 17 year old furkid is totally deaf but yet he knows when one of our cars is about to come home. It can be a block away but he knows.

Mine knows when someone is walking a dog on the sidewalk in front of the house, even if the door and all the windows are closed...

YAY my work computer has just been taken over by the Ukash virus, it is locked with a meesage that saysI have to pay a fine withing 72 hours to get it unlocked. Considering we are supposed to have state of the art virus protection it has managed to get around it. Just as well I have a backup and can format the hard drive if I need to! They won't get a single cent out of me or my company that is for sure! I have the I.T. guru coming in, he reckons he can get rid of it.

I got something similar a couple of weeks ago but I was able to get rid of it by running full virus scans and restoring the computer to a time before the virus.

The weather be all whack. We set a record in Milwaukee today of 59°F, just beautiful. Starting at midnight we have a severe winter advisory with the highest snow fall of the season coming. The temps are supposed to plummet back into the teens. I call that whack.

My son is fighting the flu. He is miserable and we can't get him to take anything that resembles medicine. If we squirt it down his throat he will vomit it all back up and empty his stomach. We even try to mix it with food or drink, he can always tell and then will refuse to eat or drink anything we give him. I know they make medicine taste kind of crappy so that kids don't treat it like candy, but c'mon, throw me a bone here!

Sucks that there are so many asshats that think everything out there is free for the taking....the really offensive part is the fact they went to a lot of effort to remove watermarks.

Yup...

Pulled every meaningful loose image off FB and G+

The truly ironic thing, is that Pinterest, of all sites, is the easiest one for reporting infringement and the most aggressive at dealing with it.

It just frosts me that nobody at FB is able to tell that when a page has images from all corners of the globe, in all different sizes, resolutions and styles (not to mention all kinds of weird crops) that there's a 99.9% chance the images on that page are NOT the property of the page owner.

Art Wolf hasn't been as many places as some of these pages would lead you to believe that their owners have been to.

In my case, you will not find people who've been to X and Y aviation event in the same year because they take place on the same freaking weekend!!!! It's not physically possible!
