Lion Country Safari - Set

I'll post up a few each day, all shot with a 100-400. It is in West Palm Beach Fl. in a more natural setting than a zoo. You actually drive through the park in your own vechile. They give you a DVD to play as you drive through the park, as it describes the animals and there origin. It takes about 1 yr. You are permitted to make a second pass if you wish. They also have a small theme park with rides for the young ones, and not so young...lol. There are also other various smaller animals throughout the walking area of the theme park. Very simular to the wild animal park in northern San Diego community of Escondido.

ha,ha, Actually they have rest rooms that you can stop at with your vechile before entering the preserve..

Nice pics. I went to the Lion Country Safari they used to have in Southern California, way back in 1978. One of the features they had was having your photo taken while holding a lion cub. Such a thrill.

They were all sleeping.. so most of the photo's of lions were not of much excitement..

The moneys are on an island. Water is the only thing that seperates you from them, its a natural physiological barrier, as moneys will not go in water.
