I have two Einsteins and a 580EX speedlight... I wanted to know if I could use a cheap Yongnuo RF-603 C3 radio trigger/transmitter to trigger my 580 EX and have my CST trigger in the hotshoe on the Yongnuo to trigger my Einsteins...

If this works, I can use one Einstein as a Key Light, the second to light the background, and the 580EX as a hair or rim light...

If not I guess I could just plug the PC port cable into the CST...

I use 600ex-rt's with einsteins all the time.. 580ex is the same, should work fine.

I normally use 600ex-rt on camera to trigger 600ex-rt off camera.. and have CST velcroed to my on camera speedlite and connected to my camera through PC Sync cable. That way I can control both einsteins and off camera 600EX-RT's.

The Einsteins have a built-in slave sensor. Just fire the 580EX any way you want. The Einsteins will fire on their own.

Don't make simple things complicated.

Haha, I never thought about the optical triggers on the Einsteins... I guess the el cheapo cowboy studio or yongnuo triggers should work for the 580ex which should trigger the Einsteins.... can i still use my cyber commander for the Einsteins to adjust power?

cool, thanks.. think i'm leaning towards the cowboy studio triggers... 1 trigger and 2 receivers for $30... can't really go wrong... unless they somehow fry my hotshoe on my 5d mkiii, and my 580ex...

I have 3x Einsteins on CSXCV with 2x 430EXII triggered with CSRB's. CST on camera with the CyberCommander close by makes for an easy setup for me. More expensive than your setup, but it serves me well.
