Bird Series with my new 100-400mm L

Finally the sun was out today and i decided to test out my new Canon 100-400mm f4.5 L. It was cold out but worth it! I was fortunate enough to find some very cooperative birds :)

The first one of the bluejay, i was standing against the sun so the lighting isn't the greatest and couldn't get in better position without scaring him off. Alla re crops of 10-20% only except the last one which was about 50%, I was able to get within 10 feet at times :)

I like the last 2. Nearly caugt one like the second last but for the lighting. It's something different which can be good.

You did very good. Too bad the sun was on the other side in #1, #2 and caused some flare. The chikadee shots are awesome.

most likely, in my excitement i didn't use the hood...tsk...tsk...:)

Nice,sharp. In Flight shot on the last photo good.
