Hey guys and gals. I shot this candid the other day in down town San Luis Obispo. I would appreciate any comments on the shot as well as any thoughts on how you would process the shot if it were yours. Thanks.

I don't like this shot. Your subject is too far away, and he's not doing anything interesting anyway - just sitting there. I would much rather you had gone up to the guy and asked him if you could take his picture, then snap a closeup portrait. As is, the photo is pretty lifeless. The processing on the first version has no contrast, the second one has way too much contrast.

Street photography isn't easy, you gotta take chances to get a good shot.

I agree. There's nothing interesting for me to look at. Also, the parking meter and the pedestrian crossing sign really over powers the man.

The second picture is very hard to look at due to the high contrast.

i like the picture, but I agree with the above.. I think if you were a little bit closer to the man it may be interesting.

You're waiting for a train, a train that will take you far away. You know where you hope this train will take you, but you don't know for sure. But it doesn't matter.

This is what I'd do with it. It's kind of small but if you work with the original I think it has potential.

not very interesting. too much visual clutter, not close enough to the subject. and the second shot, the processing makes the main focus of your photo (the man) blend in too much.
