Looks great Tim. The pavers complement the house very well. Enjoy.

Week 1

The creek below our house just after a storm rolled through. It was an experiment in how low I could set the shutter speed while shooting the 70-200 handheld.

Looks like our streams around here this season.

How low can you go handheld at 200mm? That's the tough end.

This image is at 200mm and 1/20th. No processing or sharpening done to it. The lower branches are moving back and forth due to the rushing water. When I pixel peep I can see at the very top center a couple of small branches that don't appear to have movement blur. That's a testament to how good Sony IBIS combined with the lens IS works. Usually I keep the shutter speed at a minimum of 125th/second when I'm at 200mm.

Perhaps next week I'll find a stationary subject for another round of "how low can I go?"

Wk 2 -- Maple Leaf -- some bubble mixture and a pancake mold. Mold is a bit big for my available lighting. Cookie cutter molds would work better.

The storms have limited my outdoor time, but I did manage a short hike up the hill to capture this small waterfall on a stream. Handheld at 1/6th of a second, but I couldn't do it at 200mm.
