Hello,

I used to own a nikon camera, but recently got a Canon 5DMarkII, and I still currently have my SB800 Nikon Speedlight. My question is, what is the equivalent speedlight to this one? Would I be able to trade? Or should i just sell this one for what is worth today, and buy a new one? I'm not familiar with speedlights for Canons. Can someone shine some light? :o

Thanks

You'll be fine with either the 580EX or the 580EXII.....

The 580 exII or 600ex, although teh 600 ex is more aimed at the new cameras.

What do you mean aimed at new cameras? So there are features on the speedlight that my canon can't use?

600EX-RT has features that are only available to 2012 cameras, i.e. 5DIII, 1DX, EOS-M, and maybe a couple of the consumer DSLRs.

The radio feature will work with the 5DII. Its primarily the Gr features that won't.
