Magazine? Yes, but it was a magazine of predictions/rumors. Sort of like Canon Rumors but put in a printed magazine, does not carry any additional weight being in print. There have been similar posts about nikon cameras from that same magazine.

I was hoping for something similar to the D800, but if Canon's high MP body comes in 1D-size, i'll skip it.

No way I'm gonna torture my neck and shoulders with this thing. A landscape / travel camera should be small and light weight, so I have no idea what Canon is thinking on this one.

no one said you cant buy the 6D... its relatively small and light.


I imagine people over at camp nikon want a pro body with the D800 sensor... that thing sure isnt as weather resistant as the D3 is....

I said landscape camera, which is exactly what the new high MP (and hopefully high DR) body is supposed to be. That's why I don't get why they have to make it 1D size.

I guess it is probably just so they can charge premium price for it.

A 1D isn't big I can roll with a 300 F2.8 on the front for a solid 8-9 HRS if needed and have a few times. If you had to lug around a View Camera or MF rig that would be big.

Do you know wha the "s" in 1Ds stands for? Studio. Canon did not make the 1Ds as a "travel and landscape" camera.

And who said the "new high MP" camera is supposed to be a landscape camera?! You're hearing things about a product that does not exist.

Nah. You didn't miss anything. I was hoping to hear something from CR as well. Nothing.

These things are sort of like end of the world announcements. They come and go and a new date is set. So when does the world end now?
