Went along to a workshop last weekend, it was my first time doing any form of wedding / portrait photography (apart from family photos). It was only a location shoot, no photos of the actual wedding.

nice work, love image number 2 and then the last two.

The first image seems to have a lot of grain in it , or a bit too much for my taste.

overall really nice, couple things I noticed...4th pic the groom looks to be squinting in the sun, remember to always keep the sun behind the subject to avoid squinting...5th pic I like but think it would be better if the cattle (?) wasn't directly behind her..draws my attention from the bride...Love the ring shots, I think the 2nd image would be beautiful in B&W..The 7th image is just beautiful great use of leading lines!
The last image< and this is just personal preference, but would love to have seen a little sun flare in it...still a great image as it is..

the sun was behind them, its just bad timing on my part.

i know, i was annoyed when the farmer let the cattle back into the paddock we where in. nothing i could do though.

Love the ring shots, I think the 2nd image would be beautiful in B&W

thanks! 2nd image in b&w is below.

Great job. Especially for being a little newer. I might get a little tighter on the ring shots, but other than that, you did a good job of changing up the natural light and making it work to differentiate the photos.

thanks! i couldnt get any closer to the rings physically (was using a 24-105mm lens, and the minimum focus distance was the closest i could get with any of the lenses i have). I could crop the images, but i like them the way they are.

im quite surprised at the positive comments im recieving, ive never done much work like this before. it did help having an instructor setting up the poses though ;)

I prefer a natural flare vs a photo shopped one...here is an example of what I am talking about...
