Am about to buy an SX50 but see that there will be no lens hood in the box. Can someone confirm that my current lens hood which fits the SX30 and SX40 will also fit the SX50?

I got an aftermarket lens hood that works with the SX30 and it is perfect.

Here is the link to the one i got:

If I don't get the shots I want with the gear I have, the only optics I need to examine is the mirror on the bathroom wall. The root cause will be there.

Thanks! I assume you mean that it fits your SX50 as well as the SX30?

Sorry, I realize I wasn't being very clear. I don't own an SX30, just an SX50. And it fits the SX50 just fine.. :)
