Anyone have issues with S110?

Considering buying the s110. But I am worried about quality issues since the s100s had the lens error issue.

I am frustrated with the S100. I have had it for a week and a half and the lens cover won't retract all of the way. I looked & mine is not one of the recalled cameras.

Wondering if I should jump **** to a different brand or try out a different model.

My main issue is it doesn't seem a patch on the Sony DSC-RX100. But sadly neither will take a cable release.

It is half the cost..which may... make up for a multitude of sins

...Seriously...does anyone own the S110? The S110 from my research is the same as the S100..with one exception..the S110 has touch screen which would be the primary reason I would not buy it.

I've owned my new S100 for two weeks! No problems! Love it!..

I used both and I ended up buying the S100 this past November. It's awesome, I love it! I can't stand touch screens; not my style. And the S110 was twice as much but not twice the camera. If you bought your S100 from Amazon you still have plenty of time to return it and try a new one.

Got one a few days ago...so far so good...

It's just nowhere near as well specified - by a substantial margin. I look forward to a decent response from Canon which will not be a further miserable iteration of the S90.
