Outstanding photos! Congrats on your upcoming move to Banff. I lived there for 6 months during the winter a couple decades ago. I actually lived all over Alberta and eastern BC for 2 years, but only 6 months of it was in Banff itself.

I'm sure you know, but winter gets COLD. :lol: As in, don't forget to plug the engine block heater on your car into the electrical outlet overnight or the block will freeze-cold. As beautiful as the winter was, I can't tell you how excited I was the first day I saw some of the snow turn to a trickle of water on the sidewalk. I remember clutching the ice cream carton in both hands to keep them warm while walking home from the market...because the ice cream carton was so much warmer than the outside air. :lol:
But after a month of it not getting above 10* F, you'll be out in a T-shirt when it gets up to freezing.

Have a blast. I'm envious of you, it has to be one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

Beautiful series! I love the Canadian Rockies as well. If you backpack - check out Assiniboine (that was our favorite).
