Looks like a good place to try out lenses or take some "L" glass on vacation with ya.

Interesting. If I didn't have a good local pro shop that rents gear it would be tempting. The prices aren't too bad either.

Pretty neat idea, but I would like to hear some positive feedback before actually trying it.

I'm a little wary. They don't even list a contact phone number or address. I've bookmarked it in case they do add some more info and/or build a reputation. Seems like it would be a decent way to get that really long L stuff for just a football game or two.

Did you lose Digital Photo Professional (DPP)? Get it here (external link). Cursing at your worse-than-a-map reflector? Check out this vid! (external link)

I too am a little leary. This is what spooked me.

Do you offer insurance? What happens if a lens is damaged?
We do not offer insurance at this time, but your photographer's insurance or homeowner's policy may cover rented equipment in your possession. You are not responsible for any damage occurring during shipping.

I tried google and found nothing about them. I thought Netflix was a scam when they started up too, so don't take my word for it :D

I'd be willing to try it out when they build a rep. I'm sure there will be talk on these and other forums when they get up and running if they are legit. Thanks for the post. How did you come across it?

The price is about half what my local camera store charges, but I also see that many items are not available at the moment. They will have to learn how to anticipate demand--pros won't depend on a service that is frequently out of stock on the item they need to rent. Nearly all the lenses I might be tempted to rent are currently unavailable.

Worth keeping an eye on.

I was just thinking the same thing... and the part about insurance..... and is there a contract to sign?

Apparently the only way to do that is add something to your cart then go to checkout. That's when you're given the option to either sign in or create an account.
