Anyone used both- 5d ii and 6d

I can read reviews until the cows come home and I know that image quality wise both are likely excellent. Has anyone used both or indeed own both and can give an opinion as to which is better and why. I know the strong points of ff and as I said I think none would be less than great but we all want the best for our money. Thanks

No one seems to have used both. I will have to take comparisons as guess work so. I am surprised but maybe the subject beaten to death as is so no interest

I've owned both. The 6D is an obvious upgrade due to its many new features and high ISO performance. To me, it feels much better in the hand and I like the Live view operation better. Miss the joystick, though.


6D, G9, Sigma 50 1.4, Sigma 15mm Fisheye, Sigma 50 2.8 macro, Nikon 14-24G 2.8, Canon 16-35 2.8 II, Canon 24-105 f/4 IS, Canon 70-200 2.8 IS, tripod, lights, other stuff.

i have the 6D coming for delivery tomorrow although have never used the 5D. Seems they have similar image quality but the 6D has better ISO and newer technology.


Canon 70d, Canon 85mm f1.8, Sigma 17-50mm f2.8, Tamron 70-300 VC.
