Is it just me, or does everyone have the same problem trying to select the AF focus point? How do I select the ONE focus point plus extension? Thanks,

You need to enable it in c.fn III - 6 first. Then press af selection button followed by the M.fn button. keep pressing m.fn to cycle through until expansion is selected. Alternatively you can do it via the Q button (quick settings)

Yep - by default, the 7D is shipped with only the automatic focus modes available.

Once you enable the other single-point focus modes via the above-mentioned customer function, you can switch between them with af -> m.fn as usual.

Yes, this fooled me when I used my 7D for the very first time. Luckily I decided that reading the manual might help - and it did, p.91
