My focus screen is scratched (guilty) and it has some bits on it.

Does anyone know if it can be changed? I have seen ebay sellers offering replacements, and seen various posts saying it's possible / not possible.

Has anyone actually.
1. Replaced one?
2. Cleaned an existing one (i.e, taken one out and blown a brush over it?)

Ta in adv. Rob

I replaced one on a rebel xt a long time ago. Its not too difficult, just need to be careful. As for cleaning, I would get a replacement if blowing air on it doesn't take care of it. Whatever you do, don't get a fingerprint on it, they are a pain to clean and scratch easy.

Yes you can remove it and replace it with a different version, or just to clean it. I have cleaned a couple by just removing the screen, and used a blower, and very slightly damp microfiber towel.

Either of you two kind folks able to describe the process of removing / replacing?
I watched a couple of videos (not a 350D) and the other cameras have better access to the clip for removing, the 350d seems to have a foam padding bandin front of the opening clip.
Thanks. R
