Photo of ice covered grass and post from freezing rain a few days prior. I had just photographed a Snowy Owl and when I turned to leave this scene caught my eye. Cropped out some OOF on the left side and converted to B/W. Taken last week late in the afternoon with the sun low on the horizon......Canon 200mm F2.8L and Canon 1.4X tc attached.

I find the black sky distracting. Overall though, very nice. I like the effect of the frozen grass.

I had to go back to the original shot to see why the sky was black and its actually trees ( hey I took the shot and I thought it was sky too:D ) Quite frankly I am not sure about the shot...the more I look at it the busier it looks. Thanks for looking and commenting. I need input on these types of shots more than others.

Jayson_Ang I find the wooden pole a bit distracting ..

Ah...but its not a pole....its a post...a Grassy Post;) Thanks Jason, the feedback is appreciated:)

Very nice. I just can't help, but keep thinking of how the original looks like. Would the "icy" effect be more pronounced in the color version?
