One legged Bald Eagle

Saw this one legged Bald Eagle fishing at Colvill Park in Red Wing,MN today.
These are not the best of pics, pretty heavy crops. He seem to be surviving pretty good and he can still catch a fish.

Wow Troy!!!
Very sad, but as you say, the Eagle seems to be getting along just
fine. Great photos regardless!!!!!

Thats what i was thinking to. The break on his leg would be the right height from a trap.

Nice shots. If it was a trap, I wonder if he was saved by rescuers and medical treatment, or if the leg came off in the trap and he got really lucky with recovery. Sad or not, it would be interesting to know the story.
